Cala del Mago is one of the most special coves of south-west Mallorca: virgin, with turquoise waters, surrounded by cliffs and with a touch of film history. It's the star stop of our Safari tour.
What Cala del Mago is like
It's a virgin cove, with no buildings, crystal-clear turquoise waters and fine sand. It's surrounded by cliffs and pine forests, and home to the Cova de la Mare de Déu, a charming cave. Its wild character makes it unforgettable.
A cove from the movies
"The Magus" (1967), starring Anthony Quinn, was filmed here, the film that gave the cove its popular name ("the magician's"). That cinematic feel is still there when you arrive from the sea.
How to get to Cala del Mago
Land access is difficult and limited. The best way to see it is from the sea: it's the furthest stop on our 60-minute Safari tour from Puerto Portals, no licence, from €189 per jet ski (2 people).
